ABOUT THE PROJECT

Working from the belief that a well-designed space can facilitate healing, the design of Vamp Cosmetics went beyond just the spatial experience of the place. The design solutions provided a seamless integration of movement, functionality and artistry. SDA’s purpose was to provide a unique and comfortable journey, where customers experience a consistent mood throughout the space from the beginning until the end of their treatment.

The space features ambient lighting, dark textural interiors and brass accents. The velvet banquette seating, custom lighting details, perforated brass screens, and blue velvet feature wall which encases the venetian plaster facial room are just a few of the bold and beautiful features of the new space. More than just designing a typical clinic that checks the boxes with the programmatic requirements, it was about creating a space that is a sensory journey for all guests who enter, providing them with a unique self-care experience.

The privacy of patients, and the flow of receiving, visiting, treating, and releasing patients, was one of the most important elements of the project. The internal circulation, as a result, was planned to offer a very discreet yet elegant entrance. The design divided the clinic into zones, blending both spaces that are open and spacious along with rooms that are private and welcoming. The selected material palette evokes elegance and sophistication with custom lighting design providing a rich yet full effect, elegant matte black features, signature brass detailing, curved bulkheads and seductive velvet accents.

Engaging a fit-out contractor early allowed the client and SDA to work closely with them to design elements suitable for budget and functional requirements. This also allowed transparency in communication and relationship between the contractor and client

Every aspect of this space has been customised to suit the diverse needs of the business, providing each client with their own unique experience. The design of the new clinic has created a space that is moody, sophisticated and honours the Vamp brand, providing an efficient workflow that allows them to service their guests in a streamlined and holistic way.
