Vibeke and Francisco came to us with plenty of ideas for their kitchen. We sat and discussed for many hours and over a few sessions before coming up with a plan. We all agreed It not only had to look great but of equal importance, had to function well for a busy family of four. The kitchen also required a small work station for Vibeke. The end result ticks all the boxes.
The kitchen was manufactured from Eurolite Poplar and Birch plywoods, it has been colour blocked to highlight the contrast between white laminate and natural timber. The Caesarstone worktop, the resin sink, the tap and door handles were chosen in black by the client to compliment the overall look.
The workstation was hand crafted for Vibeke in re-claimed Rimu, she chose one of our bar stools the S.220 in re-claimed timber to match.

Kasey Coory and Evan Schwarz, both New Zealanders, spent 12 years a piece living and working in London. They co-shared a workshop in Hackney, East London for 5 of those years and decided in 2013 to begin a new venture in a familiar land. Two family relocations from the UK have facilitated the creation of Shoreditch Ltd, a furniture design and manufacturing company based on Waiheke Island, Auckland, NZ. Shoreditch have since opened a second workshop in Warkworth, north of Auckland.
Bringing together twenty years experience each in construction and design-related industries, they cover a huge range of professional work. Whether it be fitting out a boutique London store, manufacturing a bespoke piece of furniture for a discerning client, assisting others to complete their own projects or managing the construction of a commercial set covering 6 film stages at once, Kasey and Evan are well prepared.
Shoreditch utilise a range of high quality materials and processes to produce well designed, well made, functional products. They apply the same working principles to their domestic and commercial fit outs and projects.
Shoreditch believe the integrity of anything they produce to be very important. Hence they manufacture using primarily sustainable solid woods and plywoods, laminates, veneers and reclaimed materials and practice minimal waste working methods wherever possible.
“We pride ourselves on our work and the quality of the finished product. We put thought and consideration into every step of the process, attention to detail is without question and client satisfaction is critical to our long term success".
