On first looks, this Compass Pool appears to be quite standard, as far as nice pools go …but it isn’t! The owners purchased this rural Wairarapa section with a shearing shed on it with the dream to develop it into their home – all off grid. The pool was the first part of the project and deemed absolutely necessary from owners Nick and Lorraine’s perspective as summers out here are hot, hot, hot. Working closely with Wright Pools & Spas, Wairarapa, there were no compromises in what they desired and what they got. An 11.8m Compass Pool in Pacific colour with the amazing Vantage self-cleaning system, a Cover Pools electric cover and heat pump, all powered from the sun and filled with rainwater – how smart and sustainable is that?
With the owners now building their home, they absolutely love their pool and don’t hesitate to spread the word that it is possible to have it all!
Wright Pools & Spas, located in the Wellington and Wairarapa are committed to a sustainable business model. We are one of only two companies in NZ who have achieved the strict and exacting criteria to enable SPASA accredited Climate Care Certification for swimming pool installation.
