Westhaven Promenade, Auckland banner

A key part of the 21km waterfront wide-walkway and cycleway from the Harbour Bridge to Tamaki Drive are now complete.

Westhaven boasts a new path and boardwalk that takes users out over the water and runs along the marina’s edge and through to Wynyard Quarter as a recreational “share with care” environment able to accommodate pedestrians, cyclists and other users. The walkway and cycleway offers a world-class visitor experience by incorporating best practice infrastructure design initiatives including, a Zero Energy Lighting Solution

The main floodlights for the road are MaxiWoody by iGuzzini with an elliptical optic in warm white, which was mounted on poles and clamps sourced by the architect. The smaller Woody fitting is used specifically to highlight the pedestrian footpath and boardwalk. All the LED lights are extremely energy efficient leading to cost savings.

The Auckland City Council have been pleased with the look and performance of the MaxiWoody by used in Lorne St, Elliott St, Fort St and the Wynyard Quarter and wanted to maintain a consistent look within the city centre. The 10 year warranty offered by ECC was also a great benefit to the council.

ECC has built a reputation for providing the absolute finest in European designer lighting and furniture. ECC was established in 1909 by George Levett Thorburn and is now run by grandson Mike Thorburn. Mike has been the driving force behind the development of an extensive range of designer lighting and furniture products over the last 30 years.

ECC continually searches the world for innovative designs and inventive solutions to meet increasingly complex lighting and design requirements. Every item in our showroom has been personally selected with an eye for the unique and original, something we have a true passion for. We firmly believe in building long term relationships with manufacturers as evidenced by our 20 year association with iGuzzini, Flos and Artemide; brands which draw on the talents of some of the world's leading designers.

At ArchiPro we recognise and acknowledge the existing, original and ancient connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to the lands and waterways across the Australian continent. We pay our respects to the elders past and present. We commit to working together to build a prosperous and inclusive Australia.
