Decoflame Leading the Way: Affordable BEV (Burning Ethanol Vapour)® Real Flame Fireplaces for Australia & New Zealand

Founded and manufactured in Denmark since 2008, Decoflame has become the worldwide leader in BEV (Burning Ethanol Vapour) fireplace technology — delivering true natural flame fireplaces with Net Zero emissions, no flue requirements, exceptional long burn times, and starting price points from $4,000+.

For homeowners, architects and builders seeking a genuine alternative to gas fireplaces, Decoflame offers a solution that is future-ready, design-led and now more accessible than ever.

What Is BEV (Burning Ethanol Vapour) Fireplace Technology?

BEV (Burning Ethanol Vapour) is an advanced fireplace technology that separates liquid bioethanol fuel from the combustion process. Instead of burning liquid fuel directly, the system converts fuel into vapour first — delivering:

• A controlled, stable real flame
• Clean combustion
• No gas connection
• No flue or chimney
• Electrification-ready integration
• Remote and smart home control

This makes Decoflame fireplaces ideal for modern Australian and New Zealand homes transitioning away from natural gas infrastructure.

Unlike a purely electric fireplace that simulates flame, Decoflame delivers an authentic natural flame experience — without the limitations of traditional gas systems.

Danish Innovation Since 2008 – Global Industry Leader

Since its founding in Denmark in 2008, Decoflame has been at the forefront of Net Zero emission fireplace innovation.

Designed and engineered in Europe, Decoflame fireplaces are specified by architects and designers worldwide for:

• Luxury residential projects
• Commercial developments
• Hospitality environments
• Multi-residential and apartment projects

With over 17 years of research and development in BEV fireplace systems, Decoflame is not a new entrant — it is a proven global category leader now expanding across Australia and New Zealand.

20.5 Hour Long Burn Times Starting from $4,000+

One of Decoflame’s key advantages is its exceptional burn duration.

Entry-level BEV models starting from the $4,000+ range can achieve up to 20.5 hours of continuous burn time — far exceeding many standard ethanol fireplace systems.

Higher capacity models offer even longer operation, with premium systems delivering extended burn cycles suitable for:

• Open plan living areas
• Architectural feature walls
• Commercial and hospitality applications

This long burn performance, combined with real heat output, makes Decoflame one of the most efficient real flame bioethanol fireplaces available in Australia & NZ.

Designed for Homes Moving Away from Gas

As energy markets shift and new builds increasingly eliminate natural gas, homeowners are asking:

“What is the best real flame alternative to gas fireplaces?”

Decoflame answers that question.

Key benefits include:

• No gas plumbing required
• No chimney or flue installation
• Electrification-ready systems
• Compatible with modern energy standards
• Clean-burning bioethanol fuel
• Smart control and safety systems

For developments removing gas infrastructure entirely, Decoflame BEV fireplaces provide a premium real flame feature without fossil fuel dependency.

Heating Performance: 50–225+ sqm Coverage

Decoflame BEV fireplaces are not just visual features — they are capable heating solutions.

Depending on model and configuration, Decoflame systems can effectively heat spaces from 50 sqm living areas through to 225+ sqm open-plan homes.

This makes them suitable for:

• Apartments and townhouses
• Architectural homes
• Luxury residences
• Commercial spaces

For homeowners wanting the warmth of a traditional fireplace without the emissions and infrastructure of gas, Decoflame provides real performance with modern flexibility.
