A space designated to prepare for the day ahead or unwind after the day has just been, curating your bathroom’s aesthetic to reflect a harmonious weave of functionality and your personal style is crucial. That said, finding the perfect vanity to do just that sometimes proves tedious, especially with the many choices on the market today.
The team behind Newtech Bathroomware identified a gap in the market and, as a result, has now introduced their brand new range of vanities and towers for your bathroom; discover the ‘Savanna’ range. With a variety of choices from colours to vanity styles, design concepts and tools, the Savanna range allows shoppers to fully customise their pieces, ensuring the perfect product for their bathroom.
Starting in the year 2000 as a small but passionate team of visionaries, Newtech Bathroomware has continuously innovated through the bathroomware industry. With 20+ years in the industry alongside design, innovation and customer service at the forefront of their business ethos, their products are sure to bring classic versatility to any home. We dive into the details of their brand new range, discussing all of the features and how the range directly contributes to the company’s strive towards sustainability. Discover our conversation with Helen Hao and Jorga Forrest of Newtech Bathroomware below.
The Savanna Range was created to open up a world of options for the customer, offering contemporary designs with on-demand aesthetics reflected in the finer details. Working collaboratively with their innovations team, Newtech Bathroomware worked to identify more on-trend and on-demand characteristics for their new product range, striking the perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality.
“The Savanna Range is quite different for us because it's the first range of vanities we're doing with inlaid drawers - this is to keep up with the current trends. We're constantly looking at trends and what's out there in the market, and our innovation team is constantly trying to see what works out there and what people want,” explains Helen Hao, Newtech’s Digital Marketing Specialist.
“The range comes with drawers, open shelves, and a single-tier and a double-tier option. With the single tier, the shelf is alongside the drawer, and with the double tier, the shelf is underneath the drawer so that you can achieve two different looks.”
“We’ve also introduced handle choices for the vanities, with customers able to choose between handles, extrusions, or negative detail timber - all included in the single cost. The only upgrade cost is if the customer wants to go with a different handle. We also have basin options ranging from a standard basin to the ‘Luxe Version,’ designed with a slabtop and a vessel basin on top.”
Additionally, the company has increased the customisation further by introducing six extra colour shades, allowing the customer to really collaborate in the design process and make it their own. With the range scaling from wood grains to solid colours in shades of white, green, navy or natural, there’s an option for everyone.
“It's beyond the premade vanity that you can just order. Essentially, we’re just trying to make it as easy for the customer as possible and super customisable to reflect their own aesthetic.”
Customised bathroomware also allows the customer to be across material choices, and if sustainability is a priority, Newtech Bathroomware’s eco-friendly ethos is reflected throughout its material choices. Crafted for the customer, the range of vanities and towers are also designed with sustainable considerations prioritised being built with FSC-certified boards.
“Our sustainability journey has been quite a big focus for us this year. We work closely with our board suppliers, one of them being Laminex, and we take what they do and continue the process with what we do with their board. All boards we use are FSC-certified and come from sustainably managed forests. We then take that and create our beautiful vanities out of them, and we make sure that we don't have any wastage either.”
The ease of customisation also works to mitigate any wastage by being able to bring the customer’s dream vanity to life.
“We've just created a 'Made for You' policy, which is an update to our returns policy, and the whole story behind that is that all of our New Zealand-manufactured products are made for you because you choose the specific product, and it's made exactly the way that you want it. This also helps contribute to our sustainability journey by significantly reducing any waste.”
