The smartness and quietness of a true Hampton’s scheme dictates the choice of the perfect white.
Porter’s Paints Eggshell finish in ‘Irish Linen’ in our first scheme provides that intense matt colour saturation and perfect neutral creaminess, with just the right touch of umber to slightly warm it through. Perfect for trims & panels in Aqua Satin or Gloss Enamel too.

While nautical navy and white are often used, here the beautiful grey-blue/green softness of ‘Highlands Grey’ paired with ‘Irish Linen’ gives unique depth, moodiness and sophistication.
Accent with the softest of whisper blues such as ‘Snow Patrol’ shown in Lime Wash or be daring as in our scheme where we have used a beautiful soft coral ‘Pashmina’ in Interno.
Applying Porter’s Wood Wash across your natural wood floors and walls in ‘Silver Birch’ completes the picture tying the heather and sand colours inherent in the Herringbone sisal rug completing this Hampton’s retreat.
Porter's Paints, for the most beautiful room in your home
The Hampton’s style has been described as English refined glamour combined with American energy. Essential elements of this discerning style, combine symmetry of layout and decor, quiet colours of the sand and sea, all the while yielding a timeless, yet constrained elegant informality.

The natural matt qualities of Porter’s paints Eggshell showcased in ’Hampton’s Blue’ above acts as an anchor in this scheme. This is a subdued blue, on the cusp of green. Created with umber undertones to create complexity and depth. We then use the accent colour ‘Country Road’, an upmarket sand colour – replicated in the paisley and nautical striped fabrics, sisal carpet textures and washed wood tones.
Wall panels and wainscoting as shown here on the walls are elements often seen in Hampton’s homes to add interest without interfering with the overall calmness.
Wood Wash in 'Heath' can be used internally on natural timber, exuding carefree beach vibes.
Finally, turning to the exterior, Palm Beach Black Porter’s elegant water-based stain, smartens any abode, whilst opening up the space and adding continuity to your home.
Innovation, an eye for design and a commitment to quality have all played a part in the development of the Porter’s Paints range of paints and finishes. From modern interior and exterior wall paints to speciality decorative finishes and many more.
