What steps can you take to do your research & to be sure, you can buy your section with confidence?

Are you new to this environment and scared to make a mistake? You are not alone! Trust me been there done that, but if I had someone, who would give me their honest advice, I could save a lot of money. What action steps do you need to take?

1. Contact your local real estate agents & get the values of section prices, location, comparison from the last few months in sales
2. Check out the following websites:
   www.trademe.co.nz
   www.realestate.co.nz
   www.corelogic.co.nz/news-research/all-news/
3. Ask a valuer about new homes in your location
4. Ask builders about rough costings in your area
5. Become the expert and understand the value of different sections
6. Which homes are available on the market, understand their value, before you look seriously for your own project.
7. Find out the value of the section and approx. the value of a new build
8. Find our what the approx. finished value is. (talk with an experienced valuer)
9. Overcapitalizing has caused a lot of trouble, tears and often has torn people apart.
10. The better you do your research, the more confident you become.
