This week, I spent quite a bit of time with clients going through options for joinery. There are infinite ways to style joinery. There are so many profiles and options available and it’s an opportunity to play with dimensions and details. Here are a few.

More traditional homes often use shaker-style cabinets. It is particularly popular in Hamptons and country-style kitchens and may seem more homey and warm in comparison with the more clinical flat-fronted cabinets.

Mim Design put together this shaker-style kitchen which was made more contemporary by adding glass doors and creating joinery that is taken to the ground. The open shelving also adds a contemporary touch as it is more customary to have cupboards above in the same style.
