Bathroom trends in 2024 focused on wellbeing in the bathroom; this meant creating a spa-like experience at home using natural materials and tranquil tones. For 2025, a feeling of serenity reigns supreme, but with an added focus on functionality and cosiness in the bathroom space.
We spoke to Abe Sleiman from Blue Leaf Bathware & Tiles who shares the top five must-haves for a beautiful yet practical bathroom in 2025.
The cosiness of home is infused with the nostalgia of childhood and nothing represents this more than the curves of 1950s bathroom fixtures.
“We are seeing retro throw-backs in bathroom ware with both colours, materials and shapes,” shares Abe.
Nood Co concrete Herbert basins are a prime example, based on a 1950s design, and available in a serene array of 14 playful and soothing 14 colours, this stunning single colour basin features a gorgeous back with soft curves.Based on a 1950’s design, Herbert is cleverly cute. Mirror cabinets have often had a bad rap for being utilitarian and without aesthetic merit, but the latest designs combine beauty with practicality, shares Abe.
“We are seeing multiple designs in different shapes and formats that integrate minimalist design with LED lighting and clever storage.”
Blue Leaf’s round Sphere mirror cabinet is one such design, seamlessly integrated mirror lighting with the practicality of recessed hidden storage. With front-lit lighting and demister functionality all powered by touch sensors, this addition to your bathroom will be a highlight of your home.
In this day in age, scrubbing mould and staining from a toilet rim doesn’t really pair up with the hygienic lifestyle most aspire to. Enter rimless toilets, which feature the latest technology that means your bathroom is more hygienic and easy-clean than ever before.
“Our Urbane II Collection of toilets have a contemporary low-profile design to match the Urbane II basins, baths, showers and tapware. Urbane II toilets feature Cleanflush technology, our most effective and hygienic toilet.”
Clean Flush patented design features revolutionary rimless technology that delivers the next generation of toilets; easy to clean and water efficient with superior hygiene. In addition, toilets have added GermGard antimicrobial protection and have the option of coloured seat hinge caps for a consistent look across your bathroom.
Ever since Covid-19 lockdowns made working from home the norm, homeowners have desired more comfort and cosiness at home than ever before. In bathroom trends, this has translated to tactility and natural materials, and in 2025 the move is towards bathroomware and fixtures as furniture.
“In a modern bathroom, this is coming in the form of freestanding vanities, with designs that mimic furniture,” shares Abe.
The ADP Harper Vanity is a great example, and is the newest addition to a large collection of ADP vanities, available at Blue Leaf. Its soft fluted front with hidden drawer compartments paired with slender legs and timber construction means it acts as a stunning piece of furniture in the bathroom.
In line with the desire for improved hygiene and practicality, a back-to-wall freestanding bath is a must-have for bathrooms in 2025.
“Back-to-wall freestanding baths combine the luxury of a freestanding bath with the practicalities of an island bath,” shares Abe. “You can have that beautiful focal point in the room without having the difficulties when it comes to cleaning it.”
Blue Leaf has a range of stunning back-to-wall freestanding baths, which are great for bathrooms where there is limited space, and opens up the choice of tapware to wall bath mixers as well as freestanding mixers.
