From tired interiors to sleek sophistication, BIM Projects Limited reimagined every room of this three-bedroom apartment with fresh finishes, smart fixtures, and a striking modern edge.
When our clients Bevan and Kelly returned from their trip overseas, they were greeted by a home that no longer reflected a life they envisioned. Their Washington Ave apartment they had owned for a long-time, felt “very old and very tired".
At the heart of the issue was the dated kitchen—closed off and cut away from their daily life. For someone who loves cooking and baking, it was essential to bring that energy into their living space. The bathrooms were also very dated, dreary and uninspiring.
Their dream was clear: completely gut the apartment and start again, creating a warm, open, and inviting home that matched their lifestyle. But like many first-time renovators, they were nervous. “It was a lot of money and a big commitment,” Bevan admits. “We were really scared going into it because there’s always risk.”
That's where BIM Projects Limited came in. From the first design conversations to the final finishes, the BIM team transformed worry into confidence. "We didn't feel we had to worry about the project itself," Bevan says. "For a renovation with lots of twists, it felt like a very smooth experience at the end of it."
The result is more than a renovation - it's a reinvention. A once tired apartment is now an airy, welcoming home, with an open kitchen that draws family and friends together and bathrooms that feel fresh and modern.
For anyone considering a major renovation, Bevan's experience says it all: "We're happy with the work you've done."
Bim Projects Limited delivers not just exceptional craftsmanship but genuine peace of find, turning big visions-and big commitments into beautifully effortless results.
A Blank Canvas for a Bold Vision
To give this project the care it deserved, the owners moved out completely, allowing our team to work without compromise. This cleared the way for a meticulous renovation that touched virtually every surface. From the first demolition to the final polish, BIM Projects Limited re-imagined the apartment’s flow and finish, turning dated spaces into an open and inviting living space.
"We didn't have to worry about the project itself. For a renovation with lots of twists and turns, we felt it was a very smooth experience." - Bevan, Client
Kitchen & Laundry: The Heart of Modern Living
The kitchen—once a cramped and aging space—is now the vibrant hub of the home. The kitchen is open and full of natural light. We relined walls and ceilings, introduced new cabinetry and countertops, and installed modern appliances that combine style with effortless function. Adjacent to the kitchen, a thoughtfully updated laundry area keeps practical tasks discreet yet efficient, streamlining daily life without sacrificing design.
On budget and On-time despite the challenges
BIM Projects Limited collaboration with JM Architecture. The original scheduled handover date was Friday, 7th November 2024. Despite facing an unexpected supplier delay out of Auckland for the kitchen and laundry benchtops, we successfully completed handed over of the project on Monday, 11th November 2024—just four days later.
Even with this challenge, our team ensured the project remained on budget and delivered with the quality and attention to detail our clients expect. This renovation is a reflection of our commitment to navigating obstacles seamlessly while keeping our clients’ vision at the heart of the process.

Lighting & Fixtures: A Bright New Perspective
New light fittings illuminate every room with warmth and sophistication. From ambient overhead lighting to carefully selected feature fixtures, the apartment now glows with a soft, modern ambience that highlights its sleek surfaces and clean lines.
Homeowner Bevan shares his experience working with BIM Projects...
“Every successful renovation starts with clear communication and the ability to overcome challenges along the way.”
At the end of the day, every renovation is about people, not just buildings. It’s about understanding what our clients truly need from their home and making sure we’re aligned from the very beginning. With this project, the focus was on transforming an old, tired apartment into a fresh, open space that reflected our clients’ lifestyle and we've delivered.
Clear communication about expectations was key. By listening carefully and planning around the changes and upgrades our client, Bevan. wanted, we were able to deliver a result that not only met our client's goals but went beyond what they had imagined.
Yes, there were challenges outside of our control, such as supplier delays, but what matters most is that we kept the project on budget, managed the process smoothly, and ultimately handed over a home our clients are proud of. For us, that’s the real measure of success—happy, satisfied clients who feel their vision has been brought to life.”
Whether you're dreaming of a full-scale makeover or a carefully crafted refresh, BIM Projects can turn your vision into reality--on time, on budget, and beyond expectations.
