Houses Magazine - Postscript: This is Lumeah by Pepper & Well, written by Jake Taylor

When Andy Dal Pozzo from Pepper and Well was contacted about an ensuite update to a house in Macedon, Victoria, he was quite unaware of the profound architectural experience that was awaiting him. The house, designed by Paul Couch and completed in 2006, features Couch’s recognisable combination of a bold structural and spatial concept layered with raw materials intended to patina with time. When the home changed hands in 2018, aspects of the ensuite’s layout and finishes felt at odds with the purity of the overall design, which prompted the new owners’ decision to pursue an update to this small section of the home.
