WARD WINNER | SHOEGRAB WINS SILVER – SYDNEY DESIGN AWARDS 2021

Shoegrab has taken out the Silver Award in the Interior Design – Retail category at the DRIVEN X DESIGN Sydney Design Awards 2021. This award celebrates innovative and creative building interiors, with consideration given to space creation and planning, furnishings, finishes and aesthetic presentation.

After years of successful growth, the team at Shoegrab decided to relocate from their traditional retail space to a combined warehouse and retail space in Western Sydney with an edgy and sharp vision in mind. This new flagship store was completed by our team at SHEETH within 5 weeks.

Shoegrab’s brief was to create a space that would seamlessly blend the industrial nature of the warehouse tenancy with the street vibe of the brand. The new mezzanine level space was created to display their premium selection, featuring a podium with a mesh backing frame and a large halo pendant.

Through custom joinery and clever integration of warehouse storage the design reflects a new way of thinking of retail spaces with multifunctional purposes. The space also hosts a sizeable warehouse behind the retail zone.

The space was split into two levels to make the best use of the double-height warehouse with the lower level being dedicated to the most popular products and the upstairs area reserved for exclusive kicks and apparel. Shoegrab’s punchy red was splashed around in a few key areas including the custom metal staircase and the large neon sign which contrasted with the otherwise industrial finishes throughout.
