Mineral white washes are a durable, lime-free alternative to the old, classic lime washes. Mineral white wash effects can be easily achieved and there won't be the problems with flaking when used on internal and external building materials.
We supply an imported mineral white wash which is careful blend of English white clay, quartz and mica, together with a pure mineral silicate binder. This mineral white wash contains no cement nor acrylics, solvents, spirits, or any other types of synthetic binder.
Our mineral white wash can be purchased as a sample sachet, and in 600g and 6kg volumes.
Mineral white wash can also be diluted to produce a translucent white wash, in fact this is the typical application style, this allows the underlying brick to show through producing a wonderful aged look. Now this is really important............there is no right or wrong way with white washing, there is only the look you want, altering either the concentration and/or application style can result in differing looks. Due to this, we can not advise you on how much you need or the application approach, as this will depend on exactly the style/look you are after. But full strength coverage estimations are as follows:
Average porosity: 1 litre covers approximately 8 sq. m.
Soft absorbent bricks: 1 litre covers approx. 5.5 sq. m.
Smooth dense bricks: 1 litre covers approx. 14 sq. m.
*Please note white washing is done after the brick work is complete, bricks do not come pre-white washed.
Mineral white washes offer:
a far cheaper alternative to bagging.
a more natural authentic appearance than paint or bagging.
a more environmentally friendly way to alter the appearance of brickwork.
are available in white and grey (special order) wash colours.
easy application, brushing, rolling or spraying.
"In a world where conformity often prevails, our dedication to innovation and sustainability stands out. We welcome you to join us on our journey towards a brighter and more innovative future for bricks."
Sustainable Stewardship
We are committed to a greener future. Our brick factory plants more trees each year (fast growing Eucalyptus trees) rehabilitating our clay fields, embodying our belief in giving back to nature. Our bricks works looks more like a forest than a brick works! Furthermore, we harvest our trees for use in paper and pallet production, ensuring we can continue our tree planting while providing a renewable resource to the paper and packaging industry. Our on site solar farm produces 1000kW and we expect to entirely eliminate our use of electricity from non-renewable sources by 2025.
Factory Flexibility
Our factory is built for flexibility, what other brick makers do with 4 separate lines we do with 1. Our clay preparation line supplies clay clots to our hand moulding line, our pressed brick line, our machine waterstruck line and our extruded line. Within 2 hours we can switch between any of these 4 different methods for making bricks.
World Recognised Projects
Our projects have received acclaim worldwide, including the esteemed Wienerberger Brick Award for the Halle St Peters project.
Global Reach
Today bricks produced in our factory are used in 46 countries and counting.
