There are many options for protecting your Mac timber, from oiling, charring and painting. We provide these services to customers who are interested in weatherboard, flooring, decking or internal sarkings.
Oiling: We recommend that when using our timber for external claddings or decking, that it is oiled. This slows the drying process and provides protection from the elements.
Painting our timber is perfectly ok, but be aware of dark colours. Ensure that dark colours don't absorb too much heat from sunlight as this can cause the timber to dry rapidly.
Oil Tinting. Also part of the protection of the timber you can choose from a wide variety of colours and tints. Tinting helps slow the timber from greying off.
Charing: Ask about charring options. We can provide options that will suit any project. Charring is a low maintenance option and helps protect your timber from harsh environments.
