Andever

Architecture for life

Endurance of design
Our design approach is to strive for architecture that will last the test of time. We design with quality materials that will endure our tough Australian conditions with minimal maintenance. Our architecture responds to the place that it is sited to enhance the experience. The homes that we design are places where people can comfortably inhabit and relax without the feeling of being overly formal, minimalistic or fragile. In essence, our architecture is for life.

Client engagement
We take pride in our responsive working relationship with our clients. We recognize that your project is about you, your needs and your priorities. We see our role as being your trusted advisor throughout the design and construction process, to help achieve the best-built outcome for you. The key to this relationship is listening and engaging with you so that we can provide you with the most appropriate professional advice based on your project objectives.

Fixed fees
Whenever possible we provide fixed fees for our architectural services. This provides our clients with greater certainty about what their costs will be. In addition, we recommend experienced and cost-effective specialist consultants that you can engage directly. Ultimately our goal is to offer great value and as much certainty as possible.

Forever, is our commitment to respect people, place and culture—and our passion for the lasting legacy of our work.

Architecture for life
The work we undertake has lifelong implications for the places that are built upon and the places that materials are extracted from. That is why design is so fundamentally important. Care must be taken to ensure that the finished result will endure the harsh Australian conditions and deliver the maximum benefit for our clients and future generations.

Everybody deserves respect
Andever has a set of strong guiding principles for practice. We see ourselves as advocates of great design as well as for diversity and equity in the architecture profession. We stand firmly against the exploitation of staff and ensure that they are always remunerated fully and fairly in accordance with the industry award. As patrons of architectural services, we think you should have the right to know that your fees are being used ethically.

Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Country
We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the country throughout Australia and recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and culture. Our office in Carlton is located on the lands of the Wurundjeri people. This land was never ceded. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
