About us
Founded in 2017 by directors Joseph Verrills and Michael Johnston, Invilla Architecture is a boutique, award-winning architect-led residential architecture firm based in Morningside, Brisbane.
We design custom homes, luxury renovations and knock down rebuilds across Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast and South East Queensland, with every project starting from a blank canvas shaped around how you live.
Why Work with Invilla?
- Design that starts with you. No templates. Every custom home design responds to your lifestyle, your brief and your site, from sloping blocks to narrow urban lots to character Queenslander renovations.
- Fixed-price certainty. Transparent, fixed fees scaled to your project, with clear communication from first consultation through approvals to construction.
- Proven at the highest level. 100+ homes delivered, Master Builders Queensland House of the Year 2023, the 2025 President's Award, a BIGSEE Architecture Award, and features on Australia's Best House and in 8+ publications.
- Fully integrated design. From first sketch through approvals to construction, one in-house team carries your project the whole way, with interior design delivered as part of our architectural work rather than handed off.
Whether you're planning a new custom home, an extensive luxury renovation or a knock down rebuild in Brisbane, on the Sunshine Coast, or across South East Queensland, Invilla brings design-led thinking and buildable detail to homes worth staying in.
