Our History:

1980s:
When Jetmaster was first introduced into Australia in 1980 it revolutionised the open wood fireplace market. Australians were previously putting up with inefficient, costly and smoky brick fireplaces. Jetmaster changed the landscape with a simple, universal prefabricated firebox kit that required minimal brick work, was designed not to smoke and provided far more heat than a conventional fireplace.

1990s:
In 1992 Jetmaster introduced Heat & Glo – the first balanced flue gas fire into the Australian market – another revolution. These fires offer even more versatility with “straight out the back” venting options and various other horizontal and vertical flueing options. These fires also draw air from outside for burning, never taking oxygen or warmed air from the room – safely maintaining the indoor air quality.

2000s:
In 2004 Jetmaster expanded into wood burning slow combustion heaters with the Kemlan range. The C24 wood heater achieved a remarkable 68% efficiency and a clean 1.4gms/kg. Today it is still one of Australia’s cleanest burning wood heaters. The stunning Horizon decorative gas fire range was then introduced in 2005. They are just one more example of Jetmaster’s commitment to offering the best in gas and wood fire quality, innovative technology and stunning design.

2010s:
In 2019 Kemlan Industries celebrated its 50th year manufacturing Australian fires for Australian homes. With alfresco living and outdoor fireplaces becoming increasingly popular, Jetmaster & Kemlan designed the stunning Patio Horizon range of outdoor gas fireplaces giving beautiful radiant heat and creating a divine feature in any outdoor living space. Versatile and effective this essential range of outdoor fireplaces is meeting the demand of an ever growing market.

2020s:
With the popularity of electric fireplaces increasing, Jetmaster introduced the Polaris range in 2020. Designed in the UK, this cutting-edge line of electric fireplaces provide realistic looking flame patterns along with installation versatility with single, double and three sided viewing configurations available on each model.

Q. Why is my fireplace not responding to the remote?

A1. The remote may have flat batteries – please replace them and try again.

A2. The remote has a child lock setting that may be enabled – hold down the RED on/off button for 5 seconds. The screen should light up, which enables the remote.

A3. The fireplace may be in lock-out. This is a safety feature built into the unit. Reset your isolation switch and try again.

A4. The remote may have fallen out of sync with the fireplace; please re-sync the remote to the fireplace and try again.

A5. If you have done all the above steps, please fill out a service form, and we will arrange for a technician to contact you.

Q. Why is the fan not turning on?

A1. The fan has an inbuilt delay of 3 minutes – some of the original units may have a delay of up to 7 minutes.

A2. The fan must be programmed to turn on if it is a brand-new unit. Using the remote, turn the fan off and back on again. You may need to do this twice or so.

Q. Why is my fireplace turning off by itself?

A1. The thermostat setting on the remote may be turned ON. This will turn the fireplace off after the room has reached a certain temperature. Turn the thermostat setting off on the remote and try again (refer to remote instructions).

A2. The fireplace may be going into lock-out. This is a safety feature built into the fireplace so that it will turn itself off if it detects a fault or possible issue. Reset the unit via the isolation switch and try again.

Q. How to light my Kemlan Celestial Fireplace

Things you will need first:

• Dry Hard Wood
• Kindling
• Firelighters
• Newspaper

Steps:

1. Firstly open the door to allow enough access to the fireplace.
2. Place firelighters so they are evenly spaced across the base of the fireplace.
3. Then, use old scrunched-up newspaper and place it over the firelighters.
4. Now space kindling evenly over the newspaper, layering at alternate angles.
5. Next, position the dry hardwood on top of the kindling.
6. Ensure the wood is entirely contained in the fireplace by closing the door.
7. By lighting the newspaper at the bottom of the wood stack.
8. Once the newspaper is lit, close the door.
9. Check the vent is open (positioned left).
10. Now leave closed and let the fire take.

Reloading the fire:

1. Using a safety glove, open the door with caution.
2. Carefully reload the fire with dry hard wood so it is full.
3. Now close the door.
