If you ask us why we started Lou Projects, the answer is simple - we want to build better. Good design goes beyond blueprints and measurements; it's about grasping the delicate balance between a home and its natural surroundings - understanding how the environment affects components like heating, cooling, lighting and water needs. It's a bit like solving a puzzle - and we love working with our clients and designers to bring all the pieces together.

Our main focus is building a home that will last. We select materials with care, including everything from the foundations of the home to the final finishing touches. We’re constantly educating ourselves and searching for options to ensure we build more sustainable using the best techniques and materials available. During the building process itself, we consider the environmental impact of the materials we use and how we manage waste onsite. We source local and sustainable materials as much as possible. We pride ourselves on keeping our worksites clean and tidy throughout the entire build. We ensure waste is minimised and everything leftover is reused or recycled.

We emphasise having a good work-life balance for our staff and partners, recognising the importance of a well-rounded life in fostering the best mindset in all aspects.
