MEGAjoist

MEGAjoist came about in 2011 when the inventor was on a site visit as a consulting structural engineer at a house in South Frankston. The truss company on the project had not allowed for a 400 x 90 LVL header beam over a large void area, which meant that approximately 14 of the trusses were 90mm too long. These trusses had to be thrown aside and replaced with solid timber joists at a significant cost to the builder. The inventor thought there must be an easier way to trim or modify trusses if required, hence the MEGAjoist was born.
