About

Culture manifests through people, what they produce and what they build.

Each project has specific contextual parameters, we define place through architectural interventions.

Houses, workplaces, masterplanning and things.

We design architecture.

I was lucky to have Phil Redmond design my new home after the old one was badly damaged in the Christchurch earthquakes . The brief was to design a new home which people will still love in 100 years time just like the old house and it needed to fit some large art pieces. It exceeded my expectations, it was bespoke to me, innovative in the materials used. The building process was supervised by Phil who ensured the project ran smoothly and to budget. The project was a positive and absolutely pleasurable experience. There is nothing I would change and I love living in the house. Thank you Phil. Fantastic results every time!

We had the pleasure of engaging PRau to design and manage the build of our new preschool build Te Tipu
Phil used his exceptional design talent creating a modern and beautiful environment for young children and educators to collaborate and enjoy together.
The teams professionalism was consistently high throughout. From sourcing of interesting material options to bespoke fittings, their attention to detail is skilled.
The build was a thoroughly enjoyable process from concept to completion. Thanks Phil and Maddie we look forward to the next project.

136 Moorhouse Avenue - The brief here was for an imaginative multiuse retail and office complex with adequate parking.
The design was fantastic and made reference to the previous buildings on the site with the cladding spaced in binary code to reference the site history.
The contractors were impressed with the quality of the detail in the drawings particularly the difficult details that made building and costing the design easy. Consequently the building was built to budget and all the contractors praised Phil and his team.
We have a number of projects in the design phase and have been impressed with Phil’s ability to analyse our needs and find a functional solution while creating some fantastic architecturest they were...

We used Phil and his team for the design and construction for Carters Estate. The brief was to design a premium residential subdivision on twenty acres on our town boundary where the residents would have exclusive access to the private parkland and associated facilities. Phil created 25, 2000m2 lots basically in clusters of four sections serviced by private lanes with architectural concrete walls and macrocarpa post a rail bounding the magnolia and rhododendron gardens. The two hectares of private parkland has golf and tennis facilities. The outstanding feature Phil designed was the tennis pavilion. His vision was to create a functional space with inspirational design that created an architectural standard the new residents would aspire too. The design winning facility is outstanding and the focal point for the residential community, The concept of living within a park as opposed next to one is a testament to Phil’s vision.
