Jan Hemesath is the Founder, Director and Nominated Architect of Project Hemesphere, established in 2019.

Jan was born, raised and educated in Germany and the United States of America.

After accomplishing his HSC, Jan completed his compulsory military service as a paratrooper for the German Army which successfully was followed by an apprenticeship as a certified joiner.

Jan then decided to further his education and had the opportunity to study and complete his architectural degree at the renown Bauhaus University, Weimar.

These years of practical experience while working as a joiner and being taught the minimalist principles of design by the Bauhaus philosophy have formed his practical, direct and openminded approach towards architectural design.

These influences are reflected in Project Hemesphere’s Core Values and Design Philosophy.

Compliance

High Level Building Compliance Assessment Report

Our approach to delivering Compliance Assessment Reports is simple. The purpose of a Compliance Assessment Report is to identify relevant Accessibility and National Construction Code | Building Code of Australia | non-compliant items, assess their risk and provide probable high- level rectification costs. We specialise in identifying, understanding and interpreting the relevant compliance issues for your building. We have developed the RACE System to assess your building or portfolio of buildings

The R A C E System has 3 steps.

The first step is the project initiation meeting where we meet with you to discuss your needs. At this meeting, we discuss the following:

Step 1 - Project Initiation Meeting

Risk

Accessibility

Creativity

End Result

What are the risks that we need to identify and how will they be reported?

What parts of the building and surrounds need to be assessed for accessibility?

What are the relevant building codes | legislation that will be used to assess the building?

What type of information is to be provided to you and in what format does it need to be?

The second step is the site assessment where we visit the site and collect the information, we require to prepare the compliance assessment report.

Step 2 - Site Assessment

Risk Assessment

Access

Comprehension

Evidence gathering

We assess any risks on the site, around the building, outside and inside the building.

We assess the access on the site, which starts at the car park & ends inside the building.

We assess the relevant building codes against the actual building components on site.

We take photographs, record notes and measurements and collate this information.

The third step is the compliance assessment report where we collate the evidence gathered from the site assessment and use it to prepare the documentation.

Step 3 - Compliance Assessment Report

Risk Identification

Assessment

Costs

Evidence

We identify the risks for the site and building and allocate each item with a risk rating.

We identify any non-compliances and provide details on rectification works

We provide high level indicative costs for req. rectification works for budgeting purposes.

We show exactly where the non-compliance issue is located using notes and photographs
