Solarei Architecture

“We chose Duncan to Design our new home due to his knowledge and design principles for a solar passive home to suit our north facing property. After we met Duncan onsite with his draft plan, we evolved the concept and details to come up with the approved design. All discussions were via Skype, emails or phone calls which proved to be effortless. Duncan was very quick to come back with solutions and ideas during the design phase and there were no delays. He was also very good at advising when an idea was not cost suitable and explaining why another approach would be better suited. Duncan’s thoroughness in preparation of documentation for consent was fantastic. There was only one query from council, which was resolved within a day. Duncan worked seamlessly with the builder, answering queries as they arose and always kept us informed. The house works exactly as Duncan had designed. Nice and warm in winter, cool in summer. We now have a beautiful home brilliantly suited to the site and our lifestyle. I would not hesitate to engage with Duncan again if we were to build another home.”
