Ben and his team extended a small metre wide sitting area at the back of our house into a beautiful 24m sq outdoor living area. It has become our main eating, lounging, entertaining area and I don't know why we didn't do it when we first moved in. Highly recommended and extremely grateful.

Ben is a reliable builder with reasonable pricing, well organised and completes work in the given timeframe. The work completed is high quality too.

We thought we were just adding a second storey with a few changes to the original layout, but we ended up with what we feel to regard as a showcase home. It is now so fresh, light, spacious and refined, and we are delighted with each room added/changed/affected.

All the team were an absolute pleasure to work with, from the carpenters, electricians, plumbers, scaffolders, fit-out specialists, painters, air-con guys, bathroom tilers, roofers, renderers, delivery drivers and labourers. They were friendly and respectful at all times, and tidied up after themselves.

Spannenberg showed maturity and a high level of experience managing the entire process. The team worked to the agreed schedule, meeting each milestone as promised, with no surprises along the way. The attention to detail, listening to our wants, the suggestions, the flexibility to accommodate our changes, the little improvements and extras added throughout, made the journey fascinating, straightforward and easy.

In addition, we really appreciated the team working in with the other trades that were not part of the contract (floor and window furnishings and solar panels). Your advice on when these trades could come in to do their work (once the requisite contract work completed), and then working around them and after them to finish off any outstanding jobs, meant that we could finish the overall work quicker.

We would totally and unequivocally recommend Spannenberg and Son to anyone thinking of undergoing any extensions or renovations. Their professionalism, experience and attitude throughout were and are commendable and noteworthy. Please thank the entire team on our behalf.

We are extremely happy with our recently completed renovations which included a revamped bathroom, relocation of the laundry, extension of a bedroom and a rebuilt decking. From the get-go Ben impressed us with his professional business manner and he got the ball rolling for work to begin not long after the contract was signed. High praise goes to Nigel and especially Scott who was with us all the way to ensure that everything we wanted was done to our liking. All of the building work was completed to perfection and to schedule, with very little mess during the construction phase. The contractors and installers did a great job under the watchful eye of the Spannenberg team. Minor imperfections noted by Ben were rectified immediately so that we were left with a first class renovation. We highly recommend the Spannenberg team to anyone who wants master craftmanship and value for money!

Absolutely outstanding builders. On time, quality work, even came in under budget. We got a second floor added to the house. The builders were courteous, professional, and did an excellent job. The extension was built and completely enclosed in the first 3 weeks, while we still lived inside without disruption. The rest of the fit out was completed over the following 8 weeks. Less than 3 months all up from start to end. They never missed a deadline, always arrived when they said they would, and never made a mess. Perhaps most amazingly, they came in UNDER budget. Honestly, I didn't know builders could be this good. If you are considering adding a second floor to your home, don't use anyone else.

Nothing was ever too hard for the guys, any little issues we had were promptly rectified.

I cannot recommend Spannenberg and Son highly enough if your are ever in the need of design and build.

I would not trust or use this company for any renovations considering how they drive on the road with their vehicles. One of their vehicles was travelling over the speed limit in the left lane and then continue to cut in front of another car when merging into the right lane, this was during wet weather conditions. Obviously their employees are not very smart considering their driving a vehicle with branding which makes them easily identifiable.

Ben, Dave & the team worked worked with us to renovate our home in 2021. They added a first floor addition, gutted & re-did the existing bathroom and laundry downstairs, added a new outdoor entertaining deck & improved the whole facade of our home. The work was completed on budget, as quoted and in just 8 months.

Dave, was an excellent project manager; easy to work with, answered all our questions, kept us in the loop the whole way and provided great recommendations. All of the builders and trades were extremely polite and lovely to deal with, in fact our neighbours were also very complimentary throughout the whole process. The attention to detail, professionalism and quality from the team was exceptional. We are thrilled with the end result for our 'forever home'!
