The first house was an agreed fixed price. The second house was charge up. In my experience it is not always about the fixed price as you can lose the quality and ability to make good decisions along the way. Both houses I came in right on budget, on time and exceeded my expectations. The proof is in the pudding and I'd be proud to show any potential client around the house he built for me.

He is a very communicative person, a calm problem-solver, honest as the day is long, and his band of subbies reflect his high standards and natural leadership. His relationship with our architects was amiable and close.  In the unlikely event of us ever building again we will reach for Shayne's number on our speed dial! We are delighted with our beach house built by Shayne Stuart. We had a particularly difficult steeply sloping site and quite a complicated design for our beach house which was a challenge. Shayne did a wonderful job in managing the project, working on the job and supervising the subcontractors to completion. We are really impressed with the standard of the work and the attention to finishing detail. Shayne established an excellent working relationship with the architects, Malcolm Walkers Architect, to work through problems as they arose. Communication with us was excellent and we’ve established a friendly working relationship with Shayne, which has continued after the job, and we feel that we can contact him for advice when we need to.
We believe that Shayne’s style of project management made this rather complicated job run very smoothly for us and would totally recommend him (as we have already done) to other clients.
