In this high street project within a high-end retail and business district, limited roof space posed a significant challenge. The AirSmart system addressed this by positioning a fan coil unit vertically in the former sink recess at the back of the property, preserving the design intent and ceiling cavity. 

The solution featured shadow line details along the front façade between the glazing and the blinds and above the kitchen joinery, incorporating the return air path and eliminating visible grilles, thus epitomising comfort without visible HVAC components. Air purification was added to enhance health and experience, achieved through two 25mm slots in the finishes. 

This project demonstrates how meticulous planning and innovative design achieve high-detail integration with AirSmart. The shadow line details provide an aesthetic advantage, ensuring the system is unobtrusive and maintaining a visually clean and quiet environment.

To emphasise the importance of design coordination in delivering an invisible HVAC solution, the integration of ductwork, air grilles, and mechanical components with architectural elements is crucial. 

This requires early collaboration between architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure installation without compromising the aesthetic or functionality of the space. 

In this case, close coordination was necessary to avoid clashes between services such as electrical, plumbing, and structural elements. Ducts were carefully routed through limited ceiling space to ensure air distribution while maintaining clean architectural lines. Clash detection helped prevent interference with lighting, sprinklers, and other systems, ensuring the HVAC system remained unobtrusive. This highlights the need for precise design integration, where all components, including ducting and controls, must fit within tight spaces, preserving the project's overall design intent.
