“To me, photography is the art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.” Elliott Erwitt (photographer)

What happens when your life as an interior designer meets your passion for photography? They marry and make a new life together. Fifteen years ago, Elise Burridge’s life took a left turn when she discovered that, she could literally have it all – her passion and her training blended seamlessly into one career.

Today this Auckland-based photographer - specialising in Commercial and Residential Architecture, Interiors and Real Estate – uses her unique combination of talents to bring out the best in a building through her high-quality images.

“The built environment is a special place, created by humans for humans.  It brings me great joy to capture the essence of a building or a room in a single photograph, freezing a moment in time.  Sometimes I am there to capture the beauty of the architecture as the light moves around it, other times is to record a home and the life that dwells within.  Buildings are an expression of the people who create them and it is a privilege to be invited to photograph not just the beauty of the structure, but the soul of the creator and inhabitants.”

At ArchiPro we recognise and acknowledge the existing, original and ancient connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to the lands and waterways across the Australian continent. We pay our respects to the elders past and present. We commit to working together to build a prosperous and inclusive Australia.
