Affordable high-performance home in Arthurs Point featuring superior insulation, strategic window placement for optimal views and sunlight, and exposed concrete surfaces for enhanced thermal mass.
The Evolution homes series of projects was undertaken as an Architect-Builder collaboration, and aimed to produce affordable houses with high performing thermal envelopes. The Arthur's Point home featured insulation well above regulatory minimums, a restrained use of windows which made the most of views and sun, and exposed concrete surfaces to the interior to act as thermal mass and retain heat.
