The Autonomous house at Ceres was designed with a contextual and environmental base. The pavilions are designed to emulate the existing boulders on the site and clustered to deflect the strong wind turbulence whilst still maximising the northern exposure.

Due to the complex nature of the building, this was a challenging project for the team at Creative Windows. With an exceedingly small amount of the windows being square, we had to work closely together and complete a lot of site work, measuring and workshopping with the Architect, Builder and Project Manager. The outcome of the project speaks for itself, with the shapes perfectly aligning with the cladding and working in with the materials used.

We are incredibly happy with how this evolved, from the initial design to the construction process and finally the result. We chose to work with Viridian Energy Tech, as it is one of the best performing glasses on the market to work in with shapes. The client and architect wanted to achieve a high-performance solution, to provide great thermal properties and aesthetics. So, to fulfil this we used the Thermal Heart AWS framing systems.
