In collaboration with a creative couple harbouring grand aspirations, Macfie Architecture has reimagined this state house into an iconic modern abode. The design brief was meticulously crafted to introduce a new wing that boldly contrasts the original statehouse form, resulting in a striking architectural juxtaposition. 

Our team of designers meticulously curated an open-plan living, dining, and kitchen format, thoughtfully reconfiguring spaces such as the bathroom, laundry, and introducing an ensuite to the master bedroom. The end outcome is a fluid contemporary design that not only maximizes natural light and open flow but also preserves the original features of the state house. The Avondale State House stands as a testament to timeless design, exuding a sense of aroha and adorned with special touches that will be cherished for years to come.
