Armadale

Barkly residence occupies a generous block in the leafy suburb of Armadale, where a double-storey extension gracefully rises behind the heritage Victorian home. The new addition, rendered in soft, muted tones of bagged brick and concrete, responds to the original architecture while embracing the natural landscape. Light dances across textured surfaces, creating a subtle interplay between old and new, while the addition’s careful proportions and materials ensure a seamless, considered dialogue with the home’s historic character.
