A 1940s workers cottage close to the Sugar Works in Birkenhead was in need of some love. It was given a new lease of life, in this staged renovation.
Stage one of the interior and architecture redesign consisted of extending the front room and main entrance, removing an old porch and including new cedar cladding to give the home a modern aesthetic, it was followed by new timber decking and significant landscaping to the front yard providing more useable lawn and garden
The front children's bedroom saw a small pokey bedroom renovated to become a large playroom/bedroom while the old outdated baby blue bathroom was transformed into a sleek and elegant family bathroom retreat.
Stacey Gillies worked alongside MA Studio architects with stage 2 of the final extension of the home to be completed by 2025.
