Britten Stables banner

This property originally bought in 1978 by John Britten, who convertedĀ the former stable block of the Mona Vale estate into a family home. The once-grand homestead took a serious hit in the 2011 earthquake.

Engco worked behind the scenes to bring the very badly damaged unreinforced brick stables to life again.

With a mix of state of the art computer modelling, and practical construction sense, Engco were able to restore the structure, whilst enhancing the original aesthetic and leaving the brick exposed in all its former glory. As seen on Grand Designs NZ.

Our tight-knit team of 45 includes chartered engineers, structural, civil and geotechnical engineers, CAD technicians and outstanding support people - big enough to provide you with the expertise you need, small enough to look after you personally.

With offices in Christchurch, Auckland, Nelson and Queenstown, we work locally and internationally for clients ranging from residential landowners to large commercial developers, with award-winning expertise in steel, concrete and timber construction.

Our team believe that problems are solved and objectives are met when energy is put into the project right from project inception. Engco provides a safe pair of hands, with advice that ensures projects are thought-out and on track from the beginning with innovative solutions that benefit the client.

At ArchiPro we recognise and acknowledge the existing, original and ancient connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to the lands and waterways across the Australian continent. We pay our respects to the elders past and present. We commit to working together to build a prosperous and inclusive Australia.
