Coastal Renovation

Buff Point Coastal Renovation & Extension By Hemmens Building A complete transformation of a dated residence into a light-filled, functional, and stylish family home — designed and built for modern coastal living. Hemmens Building was engaged to deliver a full renovation and extension of this Buff Point property, with a strong focus on open-plan living, durable materials, and a clean, coastal aesthetic. The result is a beautifully practical space tailored to the needs of a growing family. Project Highlights Rear Extension & Open Plan Living: We extended the rear of the home to create a spacious open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area — the new heart of the home. Custom Kitchen & Study Nook: Modern finishes and a custom-designed layout provide generous storage and work-from-home flexibility. Timber Deck: A new outdoor entertaining area connects seamlessly with the living space, enhancing flow between indoors and out. Striking Cladding: We used James Hardie Stria and FC panels with Extent aluminium trims to achieve a sharp, modern exterior that suits the coastal setting. New Carport: A Versiclad-insulated carport was added for everyday functionality and protection. Floating Floors: Durable, family-friendly floating flooring was laid throughout key internal zones. The Outcome This renovation and extension reflect Hemmens Building’s focus on craftsmanship, communication, and building homes that stand the test of time — both in function and in finish. The Buff Point home is now perfectly suited for the family’s lifestyle today, with flexibility built in for the years ahead.
