Exam Room Set Up – Without the Cables
Sydney Grammar School approached OE Elsafe for a solution to their usually laborious and time-consuming exam setup process. Previously several teachers had taken up to three days to setup the four exam rooms, with mains power cables being taped to the floor presenting safety issues and possible trip hazards. Extra time was required to maintain exam room safety with teachers checking and re-taping cables between exams if they had moved in the process of student movement in and out of the exam rooms.
The solution was the OE Elsafe QIKPAC commercial grade portable battery, which is the power at the centre of the ANIMATE series of products. Sydney Grammar School has invested in and are very happy to be using their very own set of QIKPAC batteries in QIKCARRY cases, effectively reducing the previous three day laborious exam room set up to an easy two-hour task.
Teachers at the school are praising the technology as a significant time saver and a much safer option with the floor being cable free, eliminating the usual trip hazards. The teachers are also very happy with the ease-of-use reporting that a single QIKPAC QIKCARRY connected to a laptop and placed on each desk provided enough power to last the entire two-day NAPLAN exam period, with charge still available. Classroom configurability can also be optimised for students and exams rather than accommodating a myriad of power cables.
Designed for the commercial space a single QIKPAC battery will provide up to 28 hours of laptop power from a single charge. The same set up was successfully used for previous exams including the recent Geography Olympiad with the same quick set up and pack down times plus ease of use.
Sydney Grammar School exam time no longer presents extra work pressure with the new technology ensuring teachers have more time to assist students during exams, providing students the best opportunity to maximise outcomes at what is usually a busy and stressful time.
OE Elsafe thoroughly tested every battery before dispatch to Sydney Grammar School, including the installation of the latest firmware upgrade. Every QIKPAC battery was fully charged in readiness for the NAPLAN Exams.
