Mammoth Panel Absorber was a key acoustic solution for the Christchurch Botanic Gardens Visitor Centre.

Background

Mammoth® was proud to be part of the acoustic solution for the inspiring Christchurch Botanic Gardens Visitor Centre.

The ethereal beauty of this public building was designed by Patterson Associates with the acoustic engineering of Marshall Day who utilised Mammoth Panel Absorber behind its stunning leafy ceiling pattern to discreetly reduce noise reverberation in its busy public spaces.

Mammoth Panel Absorber is available in white, black or grey and can be supplied either unfaced or with a facing in white or black. For the design of the Botanic Gardens Visitor Centre both facing colours were considered to subtly accent the distinctive leaf motif.

The Gardens Visitor Centre won a John Scott Award for Public Architecture at The New Zealand Architecture awards.

Mammoth® Modern Insulation is manufactured by InZone Industries Limited - a New Zealand owned and operated manufacturer of polyester thermal and acoustic insulation - supplying the local New Zealand market and export markets with a range of insulation products for the building, construction and residential markets.

Mammoth polyester insulation products help create warmer, healthier, more energy efficient environments which helps to improve people’s health in addition to reducing carbon emissions.

Our thermal and acoustic insulation products are designed to maximise thermal performance across the construction system and products independently tested proved to outperform their product R-values.

With manufacturing facilities in the North Island, Mammoth's thermal and acoustic insulation is made from 100% polyester and uses up to 15,600 recycled plastic bottles per 100 sqm*.

Made by NZ's first and only Toitū net carbonzero certified insulation manufacturing company, everything from packaging to product is recyclable at the end of its life.

Our business is underpinned by a philosophy of creating better environments which extends to more than just the product we manufacture. Read more here about our commitment to our carboNZero manufacturing ethics, our sustainability practices and our technical excellence.

Our Take-back Program

Talking about taking product back and making it our client’s problem to get it back to us is one thing, actively putting bins around the country and making it easier for our clients to recycle their offcuts is another.

We don’t believe it is good enough to say, get it back to our factory and we will recycle the product. We believe putting our hand up and sharing that responsibility is a necessity. That’s why we are proud to announce we have started the process of putting Mammoth recycling bins around the country. The first two locations, beyond our factory in Auckland, are Hamilton and Wellington. We encourage all Mammoth Insulation users to bring their clean offcuts back to these locations so we can avoid landfill and create a circular economy by recycling them.

At ArchiPro we recognise and acknowledge the existing, original and ancient connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to the lands and waterways across the Australian continent. We pay our respects to the elders past and present. We commit to working together to build a prosperous and inclusive Australia.
