Soliday C Motorised Retractable Shade Sails (Qty x2) covering a large outdoor seating area at the picturesque Cloudy Bay Shed winery in Cromwell. The sails are 46m2 and 60m2 and are square in shape.

The sails are operated by remote control and day/time programming, along with a Wind Sensor that automatically retracts the sails when the wind reaches speeds of 40km/h. Height adjustment operated by winches on west facing poles allows the side of the sails to be lowered in synchronisation with sun movements throughout the day ensuring shade coverage in the late afternoon. Automatic cloth tensioning ensures the sail cloth is always sitting perfectly.

The fabric is deep brown in colour, integrating perfectly with the surrounding landscape and is rated UPF80+, along with being water repellent allowing it to be used for sun protection as well as light rain protection.

Based on the design of a sailboat mast, the poles used uniquely combines design, and function. With its special form, the drop pole mast is four times more rigid and all cables (height adjustment and electrical cables) for any accessories can be hidden in the mast resulting in a neat, understated look that is uniquely elegant. The poles are powder coated in black bronze to match the corporate colours of Cloudy Bay’s parent company. One specially designed marine grade stainless roof bracket is mounted on the roof of the nearby building allowing for a design featuring less poles at ground level.
