This contemporary home in the leafy suburbs of Christchurch celebrates the best of outdoor living.

“Warm timber finishes define both the ceiling and floor planes of the open plan interior living spaces and continue uninterrupted through to the external verandah to the north of the home blending the transition between indoors and out.

Large eaves, external heaters and integrated retractable wind blinds surround the verandah to allow for year-round outdoor entertaining around the barbeque with direct access to the courtyard garden, spa and swimming pool.” — Johnston Architects

Our outdoor dining and lounge settings complement the design ethos, with the warm teak finish, clean lines and subtle texture reflecting the elements of this beautifully appointed family home.

About the
Professional

Since 1976, DEVON has been designing outdoor furniture that reflects Aotearoa’s beauty and endures her elements.

It all began in the Auckland summer of ’76, when two Kiwi’s — Bruce Barnes and Howard Sneddon — started fashioning furniture in their old tin shed. But it wasn’t just any furniture, it had to be “the best outdoor furniture money could buy”.

After 47 trips around the sun, DEVON furniture lives on, surviving anything Mother Nature throws at it. Because the one thing that remains the same is our passion for the outdoors, timeless design, and quality construction.

Be inspired to embrace an outdoor life, in style with DEVON.

At ArchiPro we recognise and acknowledge the existing, original and ancient connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to the lands and waterways across the Australian continent. We pay our respects to the elders past and present. We commit to working together to build a prosperous and inclusive Australia.
