Manawai Residence

This contemporary farmhouse style home balances practicality with refined beauty, brought to life through a carefully curated palette of finishes and materials. Space Studio worked closely with the clients to deliver the full interior design materiality and detailing, with a particular focus on the bespoke cabinetry. The cabinetry anchors the design, its dark timber grain paired with finely fluted detailing and ribbed glass inserts, offering both subtle texture and timeless sophistication. Natural stone benchtops add weight and permanence, their earthy veining complementing the rural setting while delivering durability for everyday family living. Throughout, the interiors reflect a modern rural sensibility- grounded in function yet elevated by considered detailing. The restrained material palette creates a cohesive rhythm, allowing light and shadow to play across surfaces while enhancing the sense of calm and order. Practical, beautiful, and enduring - this farmhouse embodies contemporary country living without compromise.
