The brief was to retain the existing heritage portion of the house, remove the existing outdated renovation and replace with a ‘Scandinavian’ inspired home.

Throughout the sketch design phase, we explored various designs that provided a sense of ‘lightness’ and ‘openness’ to create a greater connection to the outside.

The design intent is defined by the simple and expressive use of materials creating an amplified domestic experience. A limited palette of natural materials helps create a simple yet contemporary look and feel to this family home.
