Located on the Omokoroa waterfront this design was briefed to maximise the frontage and views whilst retaining a casual coastal theme. Washed cedar boards and battens were used on the exterior and continued into white painted interior walls and beamed ceilings.
Open plan living, dining and kitchen are contained in the front area which opens onto a spacious deck designed to create a functional indoor/outdoor living space once sliding doors are open.
Interior design features include hand crafted light fittings and bespoke furniture, a blend is achieved between the owner’s antique pieces and new modern styling.
Concealed behind this frontage is a sheltered garden and outdoor entertaining area, the bedroom wing is accessed internally by a long corridor.
Dekton, a engineered large sheet granite was used extensively in bathrooms on floors, walls and vanities and in the kitchen upstand and splashback .
Attention to detail, good craftsmanship and well thought out design create a relaxed overall theme which makes this home very comfortable and functional whether occupied by the owners or enjoyed by frequent visits of many family members.
