Coogee Wine Room is a design for Coogee's first wine bar which sees a fit out juxtaposing traditional design details with a raw and contemporary aesthetic; providing a fresh new perspective to the Coogee hospitality scene.

The feature marble bar which greets one upon entering, along with the sage green hue present within various areas of the venue make reference to more classic, traditional design. Rich walnut timbers and aged brass detailing bring a level of sophistication as well as an unexpected take on what the beachside dining experience is or can be. Juxtaposing the traditional design elements with more robust and industrial features such as exposed brick, mesh ceiling paneling and black detailing ground these details and make a subtle nod to the raw and relaxed nature of the beachside location. The ambience and warmth of the space created through the design provides a relaxed atmosphere for diners to immerse themselves in and enjoy the extensive list of over 400 wines and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine on offer.

All areas are connected through a cohesive material and colour palette whilst varying in mood and tone through the carefully considered lighting and furniture choices. Coogee Wine Room sees a well resolved design as a result of working closely alongside the client and understanding the need for the space to be one which effectively compliments the wine list and food menus alike whilst brining a point of difference to the Coogee hospitality scene.
