This practice has adopted a forward-looking, flexible approach for use of the medical rooms. Modelled after hospitals, the rooms are not permanently assigned to a single doctor but rather allow a more efficient, patient-driven use of space where doctors work between a number of different consulting rooms, reducing wait times.

Tennent Brown was asked to redesign this urban medical centre’s interior to allow the practice to utilise this unique practice approach to its fullest potential. Using natural materials such as timber and fabrics, Tennent Brown have simplified the circulation and consolidated common areas to create a more workable and restful environment.

About the

Tennent Brown is concerned with people, how our buildings and environments will affect their experience. We design to uplift the quality of life, of work, play and wellbeing of those the buildings serve. Architecture is built around people, and every design is an individual's or organisation’s story: their hopes and aspirations for a building that is their own.

People entrust us with realising some expression of themselves, to translate that into built form. We take that seriously. Ours is an architecture of listening and understanding: a humanist architecture.

At ArchiPro we recognise and acknowledge the existing, original and ancient connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to the lands and waterways across the Australian continent. We pay our respects to the elders past and present. We commit to working together to build a prosperous and inclusive Australia.
