What work was involved
A victorian era home, Deakin st was designed for a retiring couple who wanted personal spaces, light and garden areas to fill their home. The carefully designed extension consisted of a large terrace area, new living, kitchen and dining as well as an ensuite and study extension to the sides of the home.
The challange
The trade and stakeholder coordination on this project become difficult at times when looking to achieve the architects design intention. As we always do, Standout adapted and became innovative to achieve the desired result. Turnaround time 8 Months
What was special
The colour palette within this project was unique. Bringing the heritage colours in new modern ways. Featuring a front blue room and green stone and joinery in the kitchen. The ceiling in the new kitchen, living and dining area was spotted gum timber panels with two feature walls. Remaining walls were beautiful light coloured bricks meaning no plaster was used in the addition of the home.
The Result
A unique home with a variety of materials and colours that only contributed to the overall feeling you have in this home. With the large windows and carefully designed terrace the clients were left with their retirement home to enjoy as desired.
