As you enter the home, you are immediately taken by its floor-to-ceiling windows, large voids, stone accents and high level of detail throughout.

Design

The challenge is selecting a ducted heating and cooling system to fit within the flat roof profile, without dropping ceilings, fitting bulkheads, pitch roof replacing the flat roof, while also minimising the amount of duct shafts, to avoid losing valuable cupboard space upstairs.

Build

Allowing services to run between floors and allowing outdoor units to be fitted on the roof as no practical space at ground level.

Living

Ensuring the heating and cooling is even floor to ceiling throughout 3 different ceiling levels to the ground floor, changing from 3 to 3.5 and 6.2m in the void, while being able to compartmentalise the space into separate thermostat controllable area, allowing the system to react to the different needs of each space and thermodynamics of each space, such as west facing windows to the ground floor main livings.
