Dramatic light introduced into heart of family home.

The existing adhoc rear addition to an original Californian bungalow was replaced with a new extension that most importantly brings better daylighting into the depths of the plan. With a side entrance and convoluted dog-legged hallway, the interior was originally dark and cut off from outdoor spaces and light, it had an ineffective skylight in the original landlocked dining room and a bedroom within a bedroom.

The new extension added only a metre in extra length to the plan, but with walls opened up and views through to the garden from the entrance and the front bedroom, these extended viewlines through the house created a sense of breezy calm and subtle luxuriousness of space. A courtyard creates an outlook from a study nook and allows glimpses through to the kitchen from the dining room and walls feel like they can be dissolved to bring the outdoors in.

Client and builder feedback:

Amanda designed a fantastic home for us. The renovation has more rooms, space and light, yet has a similar footprint to the previous building.

I can highly recommend Amanda from PandA Studio's. As the builder on one of her residential projects last year (5 month build) she delivered a design that exceeded the clients expectations, an architectural rebuild of a 3 bed bungalow in Drummoyne that brought much needed light and layouts to make the house both practical and uplifting to live in. Communication of details and architectural intentions were very easy to the client and myself which led to an excellent build on time and budget.

We have a great collaborative team

We consult earlier with builders and other experts during design and development to produce thoughtful and considered work of exceptional quality.

We’re all about balance

We create uplifting spaces that surprise and delight, and balance functionality with aesthetics and budget.

Budgets are just as important to us as they are to you
Budgets are a constraint we welcome. Actually, we find constraints of any kind often steer us to find creative, cost-effective ways to meet your vision.

We embrace your vision
We help translate your vision into spaces tailored to the way you want to live, work, and play.

Our clients recommend us to others
Our clients are so happy with the work that they recommend us. 80% of our work has been with clients who contacted us after hearing about and seeing our work.

May 2021 Update:
After 8 years of building great foundations and a growing network of collaborators, Paul and Amanda are very excited to announce that Paul (ie. the to-date silent 'P' in PandA) has now officially joined Amanda to help manage projects in all aspects across design and delivery.

Coming full circle after meeting as architecture students in 1999 (Kent Institute of Art and Design, Canterbury, UK), and having since worked at opposite ends of the architectural spectrum, Amanda and Paul are excited now to share the wealth of their combined experience and knowledge with a broad range of current and future projects and clients.

At ArchiPro we recognise and acknowledge the existing, original and ancient connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to the lands and waterways across the Australian continent. We pay our respects to the elders past and present. We commit to working together to build a prosperous and inclusive Australia.
