A 10m x 5m rectangular pool in Drury, creatively utilising volcanic rocks from the hillside to create a stunning water feature, complemented by an exposed aggregate pebble floor and elegant black marble plaster walls, featuring a secret spot for summertime drinks.
In 2018, Auckland Inground Pools completed the Drury Rock Pool, a striking 10m x 5m rectangular pool that seamlessly blends innovative design with natural surroundings. This project was constructed in a hillside property scattered with volcanic rocks, which were carefully excavated and repurposed to create a captivating water feature at one end of the pool, adding both visual interest and natural charm.
The pool’s finish showcases an exposed aggregate pebble floor paired with sleek black marble plaster on the walls, delivering a luxurious yet resilient surface. Designed with a deconstructive style, the Drury Rock Pool offers a serene, private retreat — including a discreet spot to store summer drinks — and exemplifies the expert craftsmanship of the Auckland Inground Pools team.
This pool was recognised with a GOLD award for Concrete Pool up to $120,000 at SPASA NZ in 2021, this project highlights Auckland Inground Pools' commitment to bringing backyards to life, and showcases both their expertise in rock and infinity pools in one pool!
