Project Description: Small Plunge Pool Renovation

Auckland Inground Pools undertook the renovation of a small 5m x 3m plunge pool, transforming the backyard feature into a modern and stylish oasis.

The existing pool, originally was plastered with a waterline tile band, required a significant update to meet the client’s vision to modernise the overall look.

The project involved modernising the dated 'arc' feature wall into a sleek, rectangular design, complete with a captivating rain arch water feature to enhance the pool’s ambience.

The client opted for 25mm Ezarri Capricorn tiles, fully tiling both the pool and the feature wall. This choice not only ensures longevity and a 'bulletproof' finish but also makes maintenance a breeze.

The renovation also included upgrading the pool cover to the BMH Real Time slatted cover system, and adding an auto water leveller providing enhanced functionality and durability, and the ability to set and forget - no need to worry about evaporation dropping water levels and popping the hose in the pool!

The stainless steel 316 handrails were replaced and electropolished, ensuring they remain rust-free, future proofing for later maintenance, particularly if the client decides to convert the pool to a saltwater system in the future.

The end result is a striking transformation that has exceeded the homeowner’s expectations, delivering both aesthetic appeal and practical enhancements to make pool ownership very easy!

After Renovation - The Rear Feature wall was 'squared up' and fully tiled. The addition of a rain arch water feature adds interest and ambience. The existing slatted pool cover was retro fitted with new slats from BMH. The Pool was fully tiled with Ezarri Capricon 25mm Tiles - looks very striking.
The old pool plaster was removed, and the option to fully tile with Ezarri Capricorn tiles was a very wise one! It looks incredible, and is also very durable.
Even on a dull winters day in Auckland, this pool looks inviting!
Fully tiling a swimming pool offers several benefits beyond durability. Tiles are highly customisable, allowing for a wide range of colours, patterns, and finishes to create a unique, luxurious aesthetic. They are also resistant to fading, chemical damage, and algae growth, making maintenance easier!
Stunning!
