Rahimoana, designed by Carnachan Architects, is the flagship of the Eagles Nest Resort lodges in the Bay of Islands.
Eagles Nest is an award-winning luxury resort that enjoys international acclaim. It sits amongst the world's most luxurious accommodation around the word, and is consistently featured in international media including Condé Nast.
The facility caters for both local and international groups staying privately or attending various functions such as weddings. Underfloor heating and air conditioning provide year-round comfort. The lodge boasts a climate-controlled wine cellar, gymnasium, sauna, swimming and spa facilities.
The structure is concrete with steel portals supporting a tapering copper roof floating over delicate sliding glass walls. The exterior walls and floors are clad with granite with a flamed and brushed finish. An infinity pool, with impressive sea views, stretches almost the length of the building.
