Rural New Build with Pool & Pavilion — Wainui
In the heart of Wainui’s serene urban rural landscape, Edgefield is a new build home that speaks to lifestyle as much as it does to liveability. Designed to blend effortlessly into its rural surrounds while delivering modern comfort, this custom new build captures the best of indoor outdoor flow, craftsmanship and connection to place.
Where Country Charm Meets Architectural Clarity
From the outside, the gabled form, timber board and batten cladding, with brick and distinctive aluminium panels, and black joinery are a nod to timeless country architecture. Inside, clean lines and crisp detailing give this home a fresh modern edge. Positioned to maximise the northern aspect, the layout draws in light and opens to panoramic rural views. Every element of the home has been tailored to reflect both the land it sits on and the lifestyle it enables.
A Home Built for Flow
Inside, a generous open plan kitchen, scullery and living area opens directly to a covered outdoor entertaining zone. The built in outdoor fireplace and pavilion offer year round usability, while the addition of a pool extends the function and feel of the home. Polished concrete floors, tiled bathrooms and a neutral palette keep the interior grounded and minimal, a canvas for life to unfold.
Rural Privacy, Refined Living
Surrounded by lush pasture and native plantings, Edgefield balances openness and privacy. From the custom joinery to the smart spatial planning, this is a home that proves rural doesn’t mean rustic. It’s refined, intentional and built to perform well into the future.

“We’d been planning this build for over two years, so by the time we partnered with Ze Build, we had a really clear vision — something pavilion-style, open and social, influenced by a holiday we took to Queenstown.
From the start, Ze Build made the process feel personal. Zane and the team were great communicators, honest, transparent and solution-focused. When decisions had to be made mid-build, they clearly laid out the options and gave us confidence that we were always choosing the right path forward.
As a woman working closely with the build team, I felt heard and respected throughout. Every time I raised a question or flagged something, I had their full attention. That respect really matters.
Even with the challenges of lockdown and a few curveballs along the way, they stayed positive, proactive and calm. The quality of craftsmanship is something everyone comments on, and it's those finer details that really make the difference.
Now that we’re living in the home, we love how it feels. The pool is an absolute winner with the kids. We’ve created so many amazing memories here already. It’s just a really beautiful family home.”
